On an unseasonably warm fall afternoon in late October we took Tony’s SS out for a spin and shoot. The old Michigan Central Depot and the Ste Anne’s neighborhood provided the perfect backdrop to show off the features of this gorgeous Chevy. After a few shots we headed downtown to pose in front of Comerica Park.

Fun and energetic. That describes Gabrielle. That describes our session. Several beautiful locations in Dearborn, MI provided the backdrop to the perfect fall day we were lucky enough to borrow for shooting. The result: a colorful, fun, scenic day of posing and shooting. Enjoy.

In an effort to better document the different parts of the neighborhood I spent a couple hours in Corktown in southwest Detroit a couple weeks back. The vintage storefronts and energy in the architecture and community in general makes a great subject. Enjoy the pics.

Reem had the boys up for what seemed to be the last cruising day of the year. Lowriders, a couple drinks, good company, and a warmer than average October evening provided a setting ripe for memories. We’ve had pieces of a LATE Indian Summer since and it looks like the same could happen early next week! Will everyone wind up back at Allure? Only time will tell. If not, this spot certainly holds potential for next season.

Fresh off the operating table, Rocko and half of his ears took a few moments to pose for the camera. This is Ben and Juanita’s blue pit. He’s michevious but a good dog. I look forward to seeing his growth through the lens.

One last gathering of the spokes and paint before the cold rushes in. What better location than Sonic, Michigan cruisers’ new sweetheart? Is it just a crush? Only the years ahead will tell but for now the love shared was plenty to attract a small crowd this past Saturday and to keep riders warm through the evening. It was fun with food and friends, and a pleasant surprise: Wyatt brought his photogenic genes out to play! This kid not only has a great smile but is painfully easy to photograph and full of charisma. Jericho and Anna are proud I’m sure. Until next season…

While we were in Vegas we renewed our vows in commeration of 5 years together in marriage. The ceremony was small and intimate and sported a backdrop like none other at Red Rock Canyon. Francisco, our host while in Vegas, also was kind enough to serve as the presider over the service and Volo came from LA to take pictures. Special thanks to Adam from Las Vegas Majestics for providing the gorgeous G-Body for photographs after the ceremony. Here are some of the wonderful pictures we received from Volo.

How many years running is this picnic anyway? I know we’ve enjoyed it steady the last 5, each year looking forward to Labor Day weekend to get down to the Detroit River and BBQ one last time before the summer escapes us. Riders from all over came out for food, hopping, and showing on a great day on the river at the Roostertail in Detroit.

Our wonderful hosts! What can I say? Hospitality is spelled F-R-A-N-C-O on the left coast. Being in Vegas the week BEFORE the Super Show has its drawbacks but the time we were able to spend and the new friendships that were forged (between Jill, Volo, Eve, Cisco, and more) more than outweighed the downside to missing the most prestigious lowrider event of the year. Thank you for the opportunity to get to know your beautiful family and for the food, tours, and shopping experiences. This man even presided over our vow renewal service. Thank you again for all the love and we can’t wait to get your guys out here to return the favor.

This weekend the Southside Cruisers and Selective Styles car clubs held their picnic and hop at Labaugh Woods in Chicago. The event was filled with families, food, and firme rides. After the picnic we followed our hosts back to the south side for some midnight hopping action. Thanks to everyone for the hospitality especially Southside Cruisers, Nim, Majestics, Rollerz Only, and El Barrio. It was great catching up with everyone and meeting all the new faces.
