LRM – READERS RIDES
The last year has been packed tight with opportunities and responsibilities. Some of these have kept as many pics as normal from getting into blogs and posted online. A year of traveling, cruising, shooting, meeting new people, building and maintaining new relationships, documenting, and politicking–a great year. A tiring year. A year of progress. The results include some wonderful moments. Some of those captured on film have made the pages of Lowrider Magazine’s recently released Reader’s Rides special edition.
When I got the call that they were in need of rides I hoped it would be a great opportunity to represent the region and the people that made it… it turned out to be even more of an opportunity than expected. Thanks to Jeff Rick, Saul Vargas, and Joe Ray for putting it together. From the 32 rides I submitted the hope was that 1/2 would make the magazine but instead Detroit and the Midwest in general is well represented with almost 1/3 of the total rides in the 100+ rides edition–including the two that made the cover (props to Bert and Ray–the rides look BAD!!).
Thanks to everyone who made the experiences what they were. Hopefully the pics this month and in the months to come serve as part of our contribution for all we’ve received. Props on a GREAT year of lowriding in the Midwest! Pick it up wherever you find LRM.
