Once again, another year in Hamilton has come and gone. As we cruise home up I-75 we leave behind a weekend full of families, hospitality, great food, great rides, and of course intense hopping action!! This year’s hop was entertaining and sportmanship took the top prize as the competitors displayed mutual respect for each others’ work even to the point of helping each other get ready in the pit. Can’t wait until next year!

Economic Development. Physical Development. Organizational Development. And most of all, Human Development. Enlace Chicago focuses on people and their needs not just projects and politics. We were in town to conduct several interviews with Community Development Corporations; to learn about similarities and differences between development in Detroit and Chicago. While there we were treated to a pedestrians-eye-view of the Little Village neighborhood in Chicago by Jaime and Alejandro of Enlace Chicago.
Among other things we checked in on Little Village’s new high school, the future site of Enlace’s Immigration Services Center, several mural projects in collaboration between youth and business owners, housing and businesses, and a soccer tournament in the afterschool program at Farragut, a Chicago Public School.
Can’t wait to play host to our friends from Chicago to show them around the neighborhood and organizations here in southwest Detroit.

An overcast day in Cali brought with it a cast of characters bearing gifts. The Rollerz Only Toy Drive featured riders from Southside, Brown Pride, Stylistics, Uniques, and more including Rollerz members from as far as Chicago. When all was said and done and the gifts were collected the cameras started rolling to film Doll-E Girl’s latest video. Enjoy the pics from the day’s events…

A nice drive to the eastern edge of LA county rewarded riders with good weather an early morning toy drive. Goodwill, good company, and fine rides set the tone for this event. Even Mr Cartoon stopped by to show support. Oldie classics lined the lot while leaving plenty of room for the other clean classics from Bomb Heaven, GoodTimes, Thee Untouchables, Chicano Style, Tradition, solo riders, and many others.

If you’re on Queen Street W in Toronto make sure to set aside some time to take a peek in the alleys behind the shops on the south side of the street. Its worth the extra steps if you enjoy public art.

Relatives and friends of the family came to celebrate from all over Metro Detroit and even from as far as Chicago. A family atmosphere is what was chosen to commemorate Paris’ 15th birthday. A memorable evening of conversation, food, live entertainment, and dancing children will long live in the stories of all who were able to make it. Thank you to the Campos family for having me document this special event in their lives! Enjoy the preview…

Tulum. A beautiful location about a 2 hour drive south from Cancun in Mexico. The smaller town feel is a fine contrast to the international airport and world class resorts about 125 miles up the road. Its great to be able to enjoy the Carribbean without having to shell out hundreds of dollars a day to seclude yourself from the interior beauties of nature and culture located just outside the resorts. Enjoy the photographs of the people, places, and food of Tulum!
Check back soon… more Tulum pics to come including Mayan Ruins, local towns, and some cenotes!!

While at Playa Azul in Tulum I had the opportunity to spend some of my afternoons with some wonderful couples visiting the hotel. Phillip and Natasha escaped the hustle and bustle of Boston for an escape to the Mayan Riveria. A beautiful couple and paradise backdrop set the stage for a great experience that produced new friends and some fun shots!
